The latest addition to the 4x4 Old Man Emu, Nitrocharger Sport suspension range is the most advanced and innovative 4x4 shock absorber on the market and is now available for many vehicles. Designed by a dedicated team of engineers OME as part of a comprehensive development program, 4×4 Nitrocharger Sport shock absorbers provide the best control, durability and most comfortable ride whatever the terrain.
The purpose of a spring is to support the weight of a vehicle and its cargo and that of a shock absorber is to control the spring by absorbing excess of energy. In doing so, it has a significant impact on the ride and handling of your vehicle.
During the development of the Nitrocharger Sport OMEshock absorbers, special attention was paid to matching them to the particular springs they would control. The engineers adapted the shock absorber valves to work with the different springs in the range. This often results in several shock absorbers being available for each vehicle. Whether for work or play, ARB has a solution for just about any application.

Steering Dampers (Below)
As an integral part of the 4x4 Old Man Emususpension range, steering stabilizers are designed to reduce the effect of wheel vibration and improve vehicle feel, handling and control. They will also reduce aggressive steering wheel rotation on rough roads without affecting steering wheel feedback.

HARDWARE

SILENT BLOCS
OME offers a variety of urethane and rubber bushing kits for shocks, leaf springs, Panhard bars, control arms and bars stabilizers. Unique items like our splined leaf spring silent blocks and caster correction kits ensure good performance.

The products Old Man Emu products come with a vehicle-specific mounting kit for easy installation and peace of mind.
COIL SPRINGS
ARB designs an extensive range of coil springs Old Man Emu for every vehicle, using state-of-the-art micro-alloy spring steel to ensure superior resistance to sag and corrosion. With such a range, coil springs can be better matched to your specific load requirements and intended vehicle use.
While a lift is achieved, more emphasis is placed on suspension tuning improvements. Finer adjustment is possible when the springs are combined with a matching set of Old Man Emu shock absorbers. This provides a fully integrated system designed specifically for your vehicle.

LEAF SPRINGS
Leaf Springs Old Man Emu are designed to provide optimum driving performance whatever the conditions to which they are subjected.
Many springs are available to suit a multitude of applications and allow you to configure your vehicle for recreational or professional use. A set of Leaf Springs Old Man Emu matched to a set of 4x4 Shock Absorbers Old Man Emu will greatly improve the ride, handling and load-carrying capacity of your vehicle.
LEAF SPRING FEATURES
- Tapered, diamond-cut blades ensure progressive load distribution over a larger surface area. This reduces the high stresses present at the blade ends and improves driving comfort and service life.
- Leaf attachments are screwed in to allow installation of anti-squeak nylon covers
- Fully pre-adjusted to ensure the spring assumes a permanent 'posture' and reduce the risk of sagging
- Load testing ensures the spring meets necessary specifications
- Military casing designed to provide more safety
- Greasable nylon interblade anti-friction pads reduce friction at the blade ends where the load is greatest
- Flat axle mounting area provides secure, positive attachment to the axle reducing stress on the spring and increasing its life
- The live side of all blades is shot peened to reduce stress on the spring. This process can double the life of a spring
- Two layers of leaves are available on most rear springs for optimal comfort. When empty, the vehicle relies largely on the first layer and the second layer provides additional support when a heavy load is added.
